Task 1A:
One key takeaway is the need for a balance between consistency with existing brand identity and creative flexibility. Initially, I focused too heavily on maintaining brand consistency without fully considering the potential for innovation and evolution. Over time, I learned to incorporate new elements—such as photographic features in packaging—that added depth and dimension while staying true to the brand’s core values. This process taught me the value of experimenting with different concepts and being open to adjustments based on feedback.
Another important insight was the necessity of clear, concise communication. In one of my designs, I initially included too much text, which overwhelmed the viewer. By simplifying and focusing on core messages, I made the design more engaging and effective, reinforcing that good design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about conveying information clearly and effectively.
Throughout the course, I also developed a deeper appreciation for the details that contribute to a seamless user experience, such as navigation and functional consistency across platforms. Small adjustments, like ensuring a navigation bar on every page or aligning promotional video fonts with the overall design, were crucial in enhancing the overall cohesion and professionalism of the project.
Ultimately, this course has taught me the importance of being adaptable, open to feedback, and willing to iterate on my ideas. It has reinforced the value of strategic thinking, user-centered design, and the ongoing process of refining and improving my work. These experiences have equipped me with the skills to execute a cohesive, impactful brand strategy, and I feel more confident in my ability to approach future projects with a well-rounded and thoughtful perspective
