Task 1
We are required to conduct a detailed analysis of a brand or client based on the following elements:
- Brand Story: Provide an overview of the brand's history, values, and unique identity.
- Products/Services List: Outline the core products or services offered by the brand.
- Target Market: Identify the audience the brand serves, including demographic and psychographic details.
- SWOT Analysis: Examine the brand's Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.
- Vision and Mission: Highlight the brand's guiding principles and long-term goals.
- Social Media/Marketing Channels: Identify the platforms the brand utilizes and evaluate its current marketing efforts.
In Task 1, which involved conducting a detailed analysis of a brand or client, my progress was driven by effective planning, research, and teamwork.
To begin, I collaborated with my team to allocate responsibilities for each analysis element. We divided the tasks based on individual strengths and interests. For example, one team member focused on the brand's history and values for the Brand Story, while another researched and outlined the Products/Services List. I took charge of coordinating the overall project, ensuring alignment among all sections, and contributing to the Target Market and SWOT Analysis.
Research played a crucial role in this task. To gather insights, I explored various sources, including the brand's official website, annual reports, and social media channels, as well as relevant industry publications. For the Target Market, I delved into demographic and psychographic data, ensuring we captured the audience's characteristics and preferences accurately. In the SWOT Analysis, I worked with my teammates to critically evaluate the brand’s internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats, by cross-referencing our findings with competitor analyses and market trends.
Additionally, we collaborated to assess the brand’s Vision and Mission, aligning it with its broader business objectives. For Social Media/Marketing Channels, I reviewed the brand's online presence across platforms, analyzing its content strategy, engagement metrics, and audience interaction. This step provided valuable insights into the brand’s marketing effectiveness and areas for improvement.
Throughout the process, I organized regular check-ins with the team to review progress and address challenges. This ensured that everyone remained on track and that the final submission was cohesive and comprehensive. My involvement in Task 1 taught me the importance of detailed research, clear communication, and strategic thinking in delivering a thorough brand analysis.

Task 2
At Task 2 we are required to create a Personas Profile deck, guided by an agency or industry collaborator. The submission should include 4 key proto-personas, detailing the characteristics of each, along with their goals and pain points.
Progress of Task 2:
In Task 2, I worked with my team to create a Personas Profile deck. We began by identifying four key proto-personas based on research and input from our collaborator. I was responsible for defining each persona’s characteristics, goals, and pain points, using data from market research and user insights.
Collaboration was crucial, as we regularly met to share progress and refine our personas. I also contributed to the visual presentation, ensuring it was clear and engaging. The final deck aligned with the brand’s goals and strategy, incorporating feedback to improve accuracy.
This task enhanced my skills in research, analysis, and creating actionable personas.

At Task 3 we must create a content calendar that outlines your planned content and a content strategy that highlights the key topics or themes for your social media posts. The submission should include a Content Planning Sheet with weekly post ideas, a development guide, and any additional related materials (optional).
Progress of Task 3:
In Task 3, I focused on creating a Content Calendar and a Content Strategy for social media posts. To begin, I worked with my team to identify key topics and themes that aligned with the brand's objectives and target audience. We brainstormed ideas for content that would engage the audience while staying true to the brand’s voice and message.
For the Content Calendar, I developed a detailed weekly schedule, planning out specific post ideas for each day. I made sure to balance promotional content with engaging, value-driven posts that would resonate with the audience. I also took into account important dates or events that could influence content, ensuring relevance and timeliness.
I contributed to the Development Guide, outlining the process for creating and reviewing content to maintain consistency and quality. This included setting guidelines for tone, style, and format across various platforms. I also created additional materials, such as post templates and content prompts, to help streamline the content creation process.
Throughout the task, I collaborated closely with the team to ensure that our strategy was aligned with the overall brand goals and that the content was both creative and strategic. This task helped me improve my organizational and planning skills, while also reinforcing the importance of cohesive and consistent content on social media.

We must using the knowledge and experience gained from previous tasks, develop a pitch deck presentation for an assigned brief provided by an agency or industry collaborator. The deck should include key findings about the assigned product or brand, along with group-developed design applications and developments based on these findings. The submission must include a complete pitch deck and final design files, showcasing the product's key findings, design applications (e.g., collaterals), and design development.
In Task 4, we were tasked with developing a pitch deck presentation for an assigned brief, using the knowledge and experience gained from the previous tasks. This task involved synthesizing the key findings from earlier research and applying them to design applications, such as collaterals and other visual elements.
The first step was gathering and analyzing the data related to the assigned product or brand, including its key strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. I worked with my team to organize the findings and ensure that they were presented clearly in the pitch deck. However, we faced some challenges along the way, especially with time management. With multiple tasks and tight deadlines, we struggled to allocate enough time for each section of the pitch deck, resulting in a rushed process.
Additionally, there were some communication issues with the client. Their feedback was often vague or conflicting, which made it difficult to understand their expectations fully. This led to some back-and-forth revisions, delaying our progress. Despite these setbacks, I took the initiative to communicate directly with the client to clarify their requirements and ensure we were on the right track.
Through this task, I learned the importance of effective communication and the need for clear timelines and task allocation to avoid delays. While it was challenging to balance time and client expectations, the experience helped me improve my problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly under pressure. Ultimately, we were able to produce a comprehensive pitch deck and final design files, showcasing our findings and creative applications, but the process underscored the need for better planning and communication in future projects.

Reflection:
In the Digital and Social Media Communication course, I completed four key tasks that provided significant learning and growth opportunities while also presenting numerous challenges. These experiences not only deepened my understanding of teamwork and client communication but also allowed me to develop valuable skills in the field.
The first task involved creating a Personas Profile deck, where I learned to analyze audience characteristics, goals, and pain points to segment target users effectively. This task laid the foundation for crafting impactful communication strategies. However, challenges arose in team collaboration, as some teammates were less proactive, which delayed progress. I often had to take on additional responsibilities to ensure the project stayed on track, emphasizing the importance of clear communication and accountability in teamwork.
The second task focused on designing a content calendar and strategy, which improved my ability to plan thematic content and maintain narrative consistency. I learned to align brand storytelling with audience interests to create engaging social media content. At the same time, working with client feedback proved challenging, as their requests were often specific and required multiple revisions. This taught me how to remain creative under pressure and adapt quickly to meet high standards.
The third task involved creating a pitch deck for an assigned brief, testing my ability to synthesize research and present findings compellingly. Collaborating with an industry brief added relevance to the task while also introducing tighter deadlines. Managing these time constraints helped me realize the importance of effective time management and reserving buffer periods for revisions.
Finally, the design application and development task allowed me to bridge strategy and execution by creating tangible outputs such as collaterals and visual designs. This step strengthened my understanding of translating conceptual ideas into practical deliverables and enhanced my technical skills in design execution.
Despite facing challenges such as uncooperative teammates, demanding client feedback, and tight deadlines, each difficulty contributed to my growth. Managing team dynamics improved my leadership and problem-solving abilities, addressing client requirements honed my professionalism, and optimizing time management made me more efficient. These tasks worked together to enhance my skills in audience-focused communication, content creation, and strategic planning, leaving me more confident and prepared for future opportunities in social media communication.
