Progress:
In Week 1, we were introduced to the FLIP Presentation, which serves as
our Final Project for the Information Design class. This group project
consists of 6-10 members. After forming our group, we discussed potential
topics and unanimously decided on "What is the Science Behind Luck" as our
focus.
After receiving feedback from Mr. Fauzi, he agreed that our topic was
interesting and worth exploring. We expanded on our ideas and began
preparing the presentation slides for Week 6. To manage the workload
effectively, each group member took responsibility for different sections
of the presentation.
Team Members:
- Low J-Yin
- Wong Kai Xin
- Tan Zhao Yi
- Low Li Vern
- Kong Cai Yi
- Kelly Lau
- Lim Jun Teng
- Vincent
we've updated the progress section to reflect Mr. Fauzi's feedback and
your team's next steps.
Script and Storyboard:
Me, Kai Xin, and Zhao Yi were responsible for writing the video narration script. To make the storytelling more engaging and relatable, we created a main character named Twinkle, who guides the audience through the topic.

Art Direction
We discussed that for the illustration style, we wanted it to look cute and playful. After researching references online, we found that the game "Dumb Ways to Die" had a style that suited our theme well.

Reflection
Throughout the Information Design course, I gained valuable insights into the process of transforming complex information into clear, visually appealing narratives. This project allowed me to apply theoretical concepts like LATCH, animation principles, and visualization techniques in a practical setting. Working with my team strengthened my collaboration and communication skills as we divided tasks and ensured consistency across the presentation.
One of the most rewarding aspects was crafting the character "Twinkle" to enhance audience engagement. This storytelling approach made the topic more relatable and easier to understand. Additionally, the process of creating the script and storyboard deepened my understanding of how to organize information logically while maintaining a compelling narrative flow.
Overall, this project not only improved my technical skills in animation and design but also enhanced my ability to convey information effectively. It was a challenging yet fulfilling experience that highlighted the importance of teamwork, planning, and attention to detail in producing an impactful infographic animation.
